Mystery Runner

A Bristol artist is trying to track down the family of a young runner who took part in last year’s Run for the Future.

Claire Ball was inspired to paint the young boy after seeing his photograph in the Evening Post.

Now she’s looking to find his family to offer them the painting.

Claire said: Maybe he was running because his family had some connection with someone with prostate cancer. I have the paper from that day, but he seems to have lost his race number.”

Claire is not trying to sell the family the picture, but says they may wish to make a donation to the Bristol Urological Institute’s Prostate Cancer Appeal.

“I’m really please with the painting and I would just like to share it,” she says.

This year’s Run for the Future, organised by Bristol Rotarians, takes place on the Downs in Bristol on Sunday 19 September.
